Smartphone buying guide

In Today’s world, a lot of smartphones are available for buy. This creates confusion among buyers in selecting a good phone according to their needs. So I am writing this article to help you to which thing you should consider before buying a phone.

Processor

Processors play an essential role in phone performance. So choose a phone with the best processor according to the competitor phone that comes under your budget. Processors work as the brains of smartphones.

Some processor comes with AI features that make the phone more intelligent. Processors not only help in the smooth functioning of smartphones but also help in image processing, which helps in providing better photos.

Ram

Ram plays a crucial role in the multitasking performance of smartphones. It is used as an active memory to hold data required to run an active application. Some part of the RAM is always used by the smartphone to run the operating system.

You need some free RAM to smooth the functioning of the smartphone otherwise it starts hanging. Some smartphone comes with 12-16 GB RAM, which is useless for most people and costs you more money for RAM which you don’t need.

If you are a light user who uses a smartphone for calls, messages, WhatsApp and some light applications can go for 3-4GB RAM. But the power users who use phones for gaming and have a lot of applications should go for 6-8 GB RAM.

OS

Smartphones have mainly two operating systems i.e. Android and iOS. Both have their pros and cons. Android comes in a lot of smartphones, but iOS comes with only Apple phones. Android provides more customization options than iOS.

If you like to customize things you want to customize your phone Then you should consider an Android phone otherwise if you don’t want to customize your phone, you can go with an iOS phone.

In case of software updates, the iOS phone provides a software update for a longer period than an Android phone which is very good for people who are concerned about the security of their phone.

You cannot download apps from the internet and install them on an iOS phone like in the case of an Android phone.

IOS phone has some great apps like iMessage, facetime, etc which are not available on Android. Many Android phones come with bloatware apps, but iOS comes with clean or no bloatware apps which is good for people who have a concern about their privacy.

UI

Many Android phones come with their UI oneplus has OxygenOS which is very close to stock Android, and Samsung has One UI. MIUI on Xiaomi phones has lots of ads but is good for budget users.

Color Os on Oppo and realme phones look like a copy of iOS. Before buying a smartphone, a user should try and experience all the different UI phones and buy a phone whose UI suits him.

Good display

Display plays an important role in the viewing experience. Display-type OLED and super AMOLED have better contrast and darker black. It also helps in saving the battery as it turns off the area of the pixel where a dark color is shown.

Now some smartphone display has a higher refresh rate which is good for smooth display and competitive gaming. Different smartphones have different types of resolution screens like HD, FHD, FHD+, and QHD. QHD provides a better quality of images as compared to others.

The smartphone comes in different sizes of displays up to 6.9 inches, which improves the experience of consuming content. But a bigger screen smartphone is not easy to handle with one hand.

Right amount of storage

The smartphone comes in different amounts of storage, so it becomes important to choose the right amount of storage. Otherwise, you end up in two situations either you come to a low storage space situation or pay more for more storage that you don’t use in your smartphone.

In some smartphones, an expandable storage slot is also provided to expand storage. So there is an option available in the future if the phone space is full and you need more space in your smartphone.

Battery

The standard battery life in the smartphone is around 6 hours. Different smartphones have different sizes of batteries. Battery life also depends on the optimization of the OS in the phone. If you are a power user go for a smartphone with a big battery that can last for a whole day.

Some Smartphone comes with a battery-saving mode. So before buying a smartphone please ensure that the phone has a good battery-saving mode, which is a very helpful feature in case you want some extra backup from your phone.

Camera

Now smartphone comes with multiple cameras for ultrawide, depth, and macro. For most people, an extra camera is not useful. And you pay more for the extra camera which you don’t need.

Some smartphones come with a larger megapixel lens like 104MP, which doesn’t mean they take better photos as compared to a smaller MP lens.

The quality of photos also depends on the processor of the smartphone, which is used to process images after it clicks using the camera phone.
